Dr. Martin Maresch

Dr. Martin Maresch is enthusiastic Senior Consultant Vascular &
Endovascular Surgeon in BDF Hospital, Bahrain. He is also Senior Lecturer in Faculty of Medicine, Royal College of Surgeon in Ireland, Bahrain.
He completed his graduation from Commenius University School of
Medicine, Slovak Rep in 1996. He was trained in the Institute of Cardio- Vascular Diseases in Bratislava, Slovak Republic.
He accomplished PhD in Vascular Surgery with thesis title: Proteolytic enzymes in Pathophysiology of Aortic Aneurysm.
In his professional career, he has extensively focused work on Diabetic foot and CLI limb revascularization endovascular, open and hybrid techniques and limb salvage.
Beside routine vascular trauma cases, aortic and carotid procedures, managing AV access for patients on chronic dialysis he’s clinical interest is focused on Venous disorders.
After establishment of specialized Venous program managing acute DVT by medical treatment, catheter directed thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy as well as cases of Chronic DVT recanalizations by endovascular and hybrid techniques.
He is the author of multiple publications in international peer-reviewed journals, participant in several international trials and regular speaker on International meetings, symposiums and webinars.
